Chaturanga

Chaturanga, often referred to as the "yoga push-up," is a foundational pose in many vinyasa flow sequences. It strengthens the arms, shoulders, and core while enhancing body control and awareness. To practice Chaturanga, begin in a high plank position, keeping your body in a straight line from head to heels. Lower down slowly, keeping your elbows close to your body, until your upper arms are parallel to the ground. Engage your core and legs to prevent your hips from sagging, and remember to breathe deeply throughout the movement. Mastering Chaturanga not only improves physical strength but also cultivates mental focus, making it an essential pose for building endurance and stability in yoga practice.
